Custom Millwork
Log Farm Building can give your home that special finishing touch with our one-of-a-kind trim and molding profiles, using a four-sided planer and molder.
Choose from 300 individual profiles to personalize your completely custom built home. Select from a wide variety of hard or soft woods, that we'll custom mill to your specifications. We'll then kiln dry the material and set the cutting heads to match your personally selected profile. With width capabilities ranging from 2" to 12", we can make your crown moldings truly spectacular!
Our talented staff can complete your home with interior and exterior handcrafted and hand-carved doors. We'll custom build your door to your choice of size and wood, and then add custom hand-carved accents and hand-forged hardware. Whatever you can conjure, we can construct-the only limit is your imagination!
Flooring
With installation expertise and a variety of hard or soft wood species to choose from, we can meet all of your flooring needs. We have tongue and groove capabilities up to 11 & 1/4" wide! Choose the look and feel of traditional, wide plank, pine flooring, or something more exotic like walnut or cherry!
Timber Surfacing
Once the wood for you frame has been chosen, you'll get to choose the finish of your timbers. The finish will have a tremendous impact on the overall look and feel of your home. We offer various types of surfacing, including:
- Surfaced Four Sides (S4S) - provides a refined, smooth finish.
- Scrub Planning - provides an antique, textured appearance.
- Hand-Hewn or Hand-Planed - provides authentic duplication of historical techniques and unduplicated finish.
- Reclaimed Materials - old growth timbers with a rich patina, salvaged from century old barns and period homes.
Timber Edge Finish
You'll have choices with how your timber's edges are finished. Choose between a straight or square edge, a flat 45 degree chamfer, something hand drawn or possibly ¾" round beaded.
During the design phase we'll provide samples of all possible timber species, surfacing, finishing and edging.
